「十字架、復活、また最初期キリスト教における多様性に関する専門家会議」 2009
70名ほどの会員だけに来ている「私信」としての案内なので（いけないのかもしれないが、構うことはない）どのような内容なのか公開します。手紙の中のウェッブサイトをクリックするとプログラムが出てくる。次に、そのプログラムの題をクリックすると各発表者の予稿を読めるようになっている。なお、予稿そのものは著作権が各発表者にあるので、個人的使用以外はコピーしてはいけないし、ウェッブに載せてはいけません。その点はよろしくお願いいたします。イーアマンじゃないけれど、本当に興味のある方々への情報公開のつもりですからご協力ください。（ただし、英国のジム・ダン先生の予稿はない。まだ出してないんだよ。大物先生は予稿なしでしゃべるんだろうな〜。なお、Consultationというのは日本語の定訳がわからない。これは相談ということではなく、専門家だけでの会議や討論のことだ。だから「専門家会議」としておいた。また、この場合の専門家とは、その分野を実際に専攻している専門家のことである。例えば、脳の手術に関しては脳外科医が専門家なのであって、単なる医者や分野以外の医学者は専門家と言わないことと同じ。また、Earliest Christianityを「最初期キリスト教」と訳したことについても説明しておこう。普通に「初期キリスト教Early Christianity」というとこれは範囲が長すぎて４世紀くらいまで入ってしまう恐れがある。最初期と言えば、１世紀内、あるいはせいぜい２世紀中ごろまでのことになる。）
I am writing, in light of your interest and participation last year, regarding this year's sessions of the Consultation on Cross, Resurrection, and Diversity in Earliest Christianity at the upcoming meeting of the Society of Biblical Literature in New Orleans. In our first session (22-115 in the current program book), whose theme is "The Gnostic Gospels and Earliest Christianity After Three Decades" (9:00-11:30 AM Sunday), Harold Attridge, Nicola Denzey and Luke Timothy Johnson will offer retrospective reviews of Elaine Pagels' influential book, followed by a response by Elaine Pagels. Our second session (23-214 in the current program book), whose theme is "The Passion Narrative and Diversity in Earliest Christianity" (1:00-3:30 PM Monday), will feature Adela Yarbro Collins' paper "The Passion Narrative Before and After Mark," with a response by Joel Marcus, and James D.G. Dunn's paper on "Unity and Diversity in Earliest Christianity," followed by a response by Karen L. King.
Both of these sessions will feature a lengthy time for general discussion, providing all who attend the sessions ample opportunity for questions, discussion and interaction. To assist you in preparing for the sessions, most of the papers and retrospective reviews for both sessions are available on our Consultation website, which you can access at (http://austingrad.edu/sbl.html). Your participation last year was a crucial part of the success of last year's sessions, and we are looking forward to your continued participation in our sessions this year.
